Samsung Electronics Pyeongtaek P2 Phase 1 Wastewater Treatment Project

This project was aimed at constructing the P2 line in addition to the P1 line in the High-Tech Industrial Complex in Godeok, Pyeongtaek. We built the air pollution prevention facility which treats air-polluting gas and reduces greenhouse gas, water purification facility for water treatment, ultrapure water production facility, wastewater treatment facility, and recycling facility. The main focus in Samsung Electronics DS Division’s Semiconductor FAB Construction Project was achieving the targeted construction schedule in accordance with the market situation. To achieve this target, we applied the fast-track method to the design and construction process. During EPC execution, we applied new technologies to reduce cost, provided design which reflects constructability, achieved the target schedule while ensuring safety, and developed and applied new construction methods. The project proved our competency once again by showcasing our extensive experience accumulated from multiple semiconductor projects, in-depth understanding of the production process, and project management practices that prioritize the environment and safety.
